It’s October, and for me that means Halloween yarn countdowns! I scaled it way back this year – 1 daily miniskein countdown and my Mom kindly gifted me a weekly small project one. Both are from Fangirl Fibers. I’m really enjoying both π
Week 1 of the daily countdown, themed 31 Days of Haunted America! Each day has a card with details about a haunted location or item and a miniskein inspired by the place. I did not keep these in order, but the inspirations are the Hope diamond, the Riviera Hotel in Vegas, Waverly Hills Sanitorium, Bobby Mackey’s Music World, the Crescent Hotel, Boldt Castle, and Dudley Town, CT.

The box came with some extras – tea and cute stitch markers π

The weekly countdown has a small project kit to open each Monday. It is cryptid themed, so that is going to be fun too π Last week’s was a

Mothman shawl kit!! It did also come with a pattern, which is pretty cool π What does Mothman tea taste like, you may ask?

As a side note to the yarns, I had not heard of Thesaurus Tea before this, but I will definitely be checking them out.
Have your gotten any nifty new craft supplies lately? Do tell!
Some lovely yarns so far, remove the green and youβve a beautiful set in my colours π The stitch-markers are super cute, Iβm hoping to resist buying anything else the rest of the year now. Well thatβs the lie Iβm telling myself π

They are very pretty so far! I’d like not buy anything for the rest of the year too. Will that happen? Mmmm – probably not. All we can do is try!

Your minis are gorgeous so far! I bet it’s super fun to get new yarn every day, but I struggle to find good projects for minis! Do you have something in mind for these?

It is super fun! I have some ideas for these, but I’ll wait a bit until I have seen more of them. Maybe a really big shawl, maybe a jacket?

Very fun! Sadly, my only new craft purchase lately has been an emergency 3rd ball of yarn because I realized that I would not have enough to finish a pair of gift socks I’m knitting. Luckily the store still had the same colorway! (And it’s a large manufacturer that doesn’t seem to do dye lots.) So it was a good purchase, but not an exciting one.
One of these days I’ll do Halloween-themed knitting! I always love seeing the projects and themed yarn my blog friends post, but I haven’t yet remembered about it early enough in the year to include it in my knitting plans.

It is a good thing they had some of your yarn though! That’s got to be a relief.
Halloween knitting is always fun – more and more designs and yarns every year π
