Project

Lustrous Shawl

With my cowl and DH’s socks done, I have one project left on the needles right now – my Lustrous Shawl.

I’ve got 2 repeats done out of 37, so there’s a while to go yet. However, it does decrease throughout, so it will get easier as it goes.

It feels weird just having one project in process! I will definitely be casting something else on this weekend. What? I don’t really know yet. But I definitely prefer having a couple projects going and being able to switch back and forth.

Are you a monogamous knitter? Or do you prefer some variety?

  1. That shawl is so pretty. I am enjoying watching it grow. I normally have 2-3 projects on the needles. Right now I only have 1 going. Probably because there is a deadline on this project so need to make sure I make that deadline. Oh, I do not consider socks a project as I always have a pair of those on the needles as my traveling campanion.

  2. You are a knitting machine! I rarely have more than 3 projects going at the same time, but I tend to work on only one at a time. I don’t feel like I make any progress if I have too many wips. Is your yarn grey or more of a blue like in the pattern?

    1. I don’t know about that! Like you, I don’t like to have too much going – it feels like you knit a lot and don’t get anywhere. It is gray with a lot of subtle colors throughout. This skein has a lot of blue, one of the others has a bit of pink in it. It will be interesting seeing how it knits up!

  3. This is very nice! I love the color way, very moody. I try to have a few things on the needles, and I’ve been good about keeping my WIP/UFO pile to less than 5 lately which is very low for me! Definitely sounds like you need a big project to start on!

    1. Thank you! I love the color too 🙂 It is interesting to work with for sure. You have been steadily working down your WIP pile! I might need a big project – will have to see about getting going on one this weekend!
