You may have heard in January that Amy Herzog was shutting down Custom Fit. Her blog post on the topic is here. Well, as of earlier this month, Amy announced that Custom Fit has been bought by a fellow knitter and nerd, who is said to have some exciting new ideas for features. Blog post about that is here. Transfer of ownership happens in early March, apparently. So if you always meant to try out Custom Fit, now’s your chance!
My other bit of random knitting news came in an email from yarn shop Fibre Space. They are doing a quarterly KAL with Olga Buraya-Kefelian! This quarter’s project will be a 3D wrap in three colors. This designer has a real talent for this type of design, as you can see from her Ravelry shop.
Have you run across any interesting knit (or other craft) news lately? Do tell!
Wow, thanks for sharing, she has some beautiful patterns. The Yabane one is so elegant, if I still had an office job I would have loved that with my wool coat on the commute to London.

Thanks for the news on Amy and Megan. I took Amy’s classes on Craftsy and she has a great way with designing for a perfect fit.

Yes! I took her Craftsy classes too – I really like her approach to picking/designing/altering sweaters to suit your own shape.

Definitely check it out – you might like some of the patterns and how they can be modified 🙂

Fun fact – one of the main reasons Amy was considering shutting down custom fit was that she had started working at my company over the summer!

That KAL will be great. I have the yarn for Koro Koro, and I can’t wait to get started, but it will have to wait until I’m done with the Outline Wrap and the Water Shawl.
