We got some flowers!

We have quite a few marigold buds ready to go, but here are the first two to pop! Also, our lilacs have started blooming!

They smell lovely 🙂 And we have quite a few buds, so hopefully they will be blooming for us for a while.
In knitting news, I finished the cowl from the brioche increases and decreases class 🙂 This is a great pattern, and I will definitely be making this again! It is the Heliotrope cowl by Michele Bernstein.

I definitely went astray from the pattern here and there, but I learned how to do increases and decreases, which was the point. Next time I make it I’ll chose my yarns a little better and pay a little more attention to row counts 🙂
Yay for flowers!! I love marigolds. They are so underrated as a long time bloomer.
You cowl is lovely!

I agree – marigolds will keep going all summer long into the fall if you keep deadheading. Love them! Thank you 🙂

You are a little behind us. Our lilacs bloomed about a month ago. They are the best. Love the smell. Too bad they can’t capture it in perfume.

Yes, we definitely start later than Pa with flowers blooming 🙂 They do smell lovely! And true, it’s a shame they can’t capture the scent.

The cowl looks wonderful. Brioche is stunning, and I’m wowed by your project. Your marigolds are further along than mine are.

Thank you! Marigolds take a while to get going, but when they do they are great bloomers 🙂
