Back at it with my Niazuma top! I’m past the point where I decided to frog it on the last attempt, and it is looking much more like the correct size this time. So there’s a break!
In other news, I am working from home as of earlier this week, for at least the next couple of weeks. I have plenty of work to do, so I am staying pretty busy. There are so many fewer distractions here as compared to my office that I am actually getting much more done. Also, I can work in sweatpants and a t-shirt and no one can stop me! The cats seem pretty happy to have me home, and it’s nice for me to sometimes get to type with a cat on my lap. Other than that, not much is different here. Like many of you, I am trying not to dwell on the news, and instead focus on the positives – like knitting!
What’s on your needles right now?
I’m glad you’re seeing the positives:) We’ve been sleeping a bit later in the morning and it’s been wonderful! I call that a positive!

Sleeping a bit later is definitely a positive! I haven’t been able to so far as DH is still going in to work and I wake up the same time as him. However, sweatpants, peace and quiet to get things done are huge pluses!

Good news that you can work from home. How about your husband? That would definitely limit your exposure although Alaska can’t be as bad as the lower states. Stay healthy and make sure the cats have enough treats!

It is nice to work from home once in a while! DH’s office is talking about having people work from home, but they aren’t quite there yet. He is fine with going in – neither of us is particularly high risk for it to be very rough on us. Thank you and you guys too! Take care of yourselves and your fur babies 🙂

The sweater looks great. Are you drinking more tea now that you are working from home? I am going to cast on a hat for my skype knitting tonight.

Thank you! OMG yes – I am drinking tea like there’s no tomorrow! I can drink it at work, but it’s a bit more limited in some ways. Very cool – can’t wait to see your new hat!

Shawl on the knitting needles, quilting under the sewing needle. But I fear I will tire of all this creating! I need to go buy a 3000 pieced puzzle or something! LOL

True – you are doing an awful lot of creating! Giving yourself short breaks is a good idea now and then 🙂

Just finished my Minerva Cowl pattern, publishing tomorrow with a sliding scale (including free) of coupon codes. I’m planning a teaching/learning KAL, a respite from all the COVID-19 news. We’ll learn…at a distance!
Now sitting int he back yard on a sunny late afternoon, picking up my Love Note sweater and getting this more appropriately sized one done.

I don’t think I’ve picked up my needles this week, oh I lie I started a dish cloth on Sunday or Monday but haven’t finished it yet. I perhaps need to cast on something new to get my knitting mojo back…perhaps a cardigan or a jumper.

Sometimes it goes away for a little bit – but it will be back! Meanwhile, you have spinning, weaving, felting…You aren’t going to be bored 🙂
