Mittens are done! These were quick and easy to knit, and have a nifty finish. The pattern is Totally Tubular Mittens, and the yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in the poetically named color 300601. Whatever it is called, it is a bright and cheery red!
When the design first got published, the photos included one of the model (Jen of AC Knitwear) holding a little pot of succulents in her be-mittened hands. I think it was very likely to show off the pattern band that goes up the thumbs. Then for some reason, people in the Ravelry group started to take their project pictures with succulents in their be-mittened hands, and thus a thing was started. So here is my succulents picture 🙂

Next up I have two projects going – I started working on my next design, and also a summer top. I started a Forest Weave in linen yarn, which should be a nice top for over tank tops or dresses this summer! More on that later this week.
How are your projects going?
Beautiful! You do lovely work!

Those are wonderful. With my shawl in time out and no desire to knit socks I think I might be running to the yarn store later to get some yarn for a hat.

Nice mittens! And what a gorgeous top!! But I am sure I would cause terrible runs in the loose stitches if I wore it. LOL

I’m hoping I can avoid wrecking it. 🙂 Linen’s tough, so it will probably be OK!
