Last week I started knitting the first of a pair of mismatch socks – the (Ravelry link) Stationery Set from Yarn Enabler. I bought this yarn a couple years ago, and I’m glad I did, as I don’t know that the dyer is still in business, though here is the link to her site anyway.… Continue reading Sock It To Me Monday: Stationery Set
I started my second SE2SE project this week – the (Ravelry link) Op Tiki scarf/cowl. It’s going well so far! It is a slip stitch pattern, so the fabric is a bit wonky as you can see. From the examples on the pattern page it looks like the wonkiness will partially block out, but not… Continue reading Feelin’ Groovy
Progress on my mobius cowl/shawl thing! Close up of the pattern so far I am about a week behind the pattern releases, but am feeling pretty OK about that. It was pretty straightforward for a while, but has just gotten a little crazy. I just started using stitch markers a couple rows ago, as when… Continue reading Round and Round
The mohair striped monster is done! It’s folded up here because this thing is massive. It’s longer than I am tall by quite a bit. Granted, I am pretty short, but still. And also it is wide. I tried it on and I have to wear it looped around a couple times to avoid looking… Continue reading Mohair Stripes Done!
The mohair stripes scarf is moving along! It is all bunched up here, as there is a lot of this scarf! I have to admit that a short way into the pattern I lost track of which yarn was A,B,C, etc., as the pattern tells you to just assign a letter to each yarn in… Continue reading Mohair Stripes Progress
I cast on a new project on Saturday – the It’s All Right mobius cowl. It is really more of a shoulder -width wrap than a cowl, but you could really wear it either way 🙂 The design is by Ellen Thomas, The Chilly Dog. It is an MKAL which Maker’s Mercantile is putting on.… Continue reading Saturday Start
Odyssey is done! I got done knitting it on Thursday and got it blocked overnight. Here is a closer shot of the lace sections. Mom has it and is considering a fashion shoot with it, so I may get some daytime photos of it one of these days. The pattern is Odyssey Shawl by Joji… Continue reading Friday FO
The mohair stripes scarf is moving along pretty well! I haven’t had a lot of time to work on it over the last couple days, but it is really floofy yarn on big needles, so there is some gratifying progress anyway.
Just three more rows, then a picot bindoff that I suspect will take quite a while, but should turn out really pretty. Pattern is the Odyssey Shawl by Joji Locatelli How are your projects coming along?
