Nothing finished this week, sadly. However, I am making progress on my two current projects. The first is my Peggy Sue cardigan, which I initially started last summer at some point, then set aside. On picking it back up a few weeks ago I found what I had done was way too big, so I frogged and started again. At this point I’m maybe halfway done with the back, but it is going pretty quickly.

I bought this kit from Craftsy – that old! So it feels good to be getting it done.
The other project is kind of a made up thing. I signed up for a full moon-themed yarn of the month club with Dye Mad Yarns. As usual, I had no idea what I would make with these yarns, but that did not stop me. What I decided on is a crochet blanket with a block for each full moon. Because I am a literal minded person, each block will be a moon, made out of that month’s yarn, with a frame around it. I don’t have a pattern. I’m just crocheting in a circle until I run out of moon yarn, then making a square of night sky colored yarn around them. I might do a little embroidery on each one, or I might not. That’s as far as the planning has gone. Here is my start on the first moon – the January Wolf Moon

As you can see, there’s a lot more to do on this block. Fortunately I only signed up for the half skein option or this would be completely undoable. More on this project as it progresses!
How about you? What are you working on and how is it going?
Pretty yarn!
I just finished a lap blanket. Unfortunately, it’s a lace type stitch and my toes keep getting stuck in the holes when I use it.

These are great WIPs! I’m glad the sweater is moving along quickly. I’ve had that issue with knitting the wrong size before, and while it always feels better to make the correct size, it can be a bit disheartening to go from tons of progress to starting over entirely again.

Definitely a little disheartening! However, if I had continued on with the wrong size I never would have worn it. So it’s time well spent 🙂

Improv – That takes confidence. Can’t wait to see how your moon project turns out.

Thank you! You speak from experience as a person who does a lot of improv yourself! I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out as well 🙂

That moon yarn is so lovely and it looks great being crocheted in the round.
