Well. This has been quite a month. Lots of work-related work, and lots of school-related work. I have been attempting to catch up on blog reading, and hopefully will have everyone’s posts read! It is great seeing what everyone has been doing and creating!
DH and I took a little break last Saturday and went to see the World’s Tallest Glass Tree Festival! It sounded like a nifty event, put on by a glassblowing organization that emphasizes using recycled glass. It also helped that the event was being held at Yerkes Observatory, which I dearly love and have been agitating to visit since we were there last fall.

It was a pretty good time, though it was crazy cold out. Unfortunately no one was adding glass to the tree while we there, but we did get to look around the artisan market, had a hot chocolate, and got to roam around part of the observatory.
Have you been doing any fun winter or holiday events? Do tell!
I bought myself slippers yesterday and that’s as exciting as it gets! 🙂

Cool tree. We have been to our grandson’s choir concert this week. On the knitting front, I finished a pair of KDD Slippers Bellew and started a shawl designed by Andrea Mowry (Wildwood.)

That’s very cool! I love visiting observatories, though the roads to get to them (or at least the one near me) is super twisty and since I get carsick I don’t go there as often as I’d like. I have a friend who works there, though, so I got a tour of the facility once.
Holiday events for me so far have been watching movies and baking (& eating) my family’s typical Christmas cookies. 😉

That’s very cool! It’s a shame it is difficult to get there – I wouldn’t want to go somewhere that made me carsick either. But very cool that you got a tour!
Those sound like really nice holiday activities 🙂

A Glass Tree Festival – how awesome – sounds like a nice way to take a break from all the busy things you have going on in life!
Hot Chocolate in mandatory, my main reason to going to these holiday festivals, ha!

It definitely was a nice break! And big YES to hot chocolate at every outdoor cold weather festival!
