Disco Babushka!

I’m working on just 2 projects right now, and neither of them are projects I was working on last time I posted about knitting. I’m not up to 5 (!) WIPs that will need to be finished next year. However, I will worry about that another day. My two current projects are a gift sweater for my Mom, and a very fun little project for myself.

Meet – the Disco Babushka!

The pattern is actually Dotty Disco by Olga Buraya-Kefelian. The yarn is a laceweight silk/mohair blend that is fabulously soft and light and warm. The big pink dots are huge iridescent pink sequins!

You can wear it as a shawl or a head scarf, and it will almost certainly be a head scarf for me. It is almost entirely out of character for me, and I cannot wait to wear it!

How about you – what are you working on these days?

  1. I love those giant sequins! And the color is just right for the yarn.

I’m re-finishing a frog hat (knit smaller) for someone who is buying it from me. I’m donating the proceeds to the local food pantry. Everybody wins!
