I got a few things done this week and last I haven’t shared yet. First – my Mom’s Rooftop Landing hat (Ravelry Link)!

The yarn is Polka Dot Sheep Ski Town Sport in the Nessie (green) and Beargrass (natural) colorways. This is a very nice pattern and a pretty easy knit. It has a folded brim so it’s nice and warm around the ears. The colorwork is very well charted, so it’s very clear. I enjoyed this hat and would make it again!
The other items I finished are some Laura Nelkin knitted jewelry kits my Mom got me for my birthday. I love these kits so much I have to ration myself and just do one every once in a while. Otherwise they would all be knitted by now. The ones I have finished are the Cassio necklace, and the Kairos and Mingle cuffs.

The Cassio necklace is very pretty and comfortable to wear, and also is useful as an eyeglass hanger!
The Kairos cuff is somewhat broader and has beads knitted in all over. The Mingle cuff is narrower and has a band of beads in the center.

I love making these things SO MUCH. Very little effort, and cool-looking jewelry as a result. The kits are very well put together with plenty of all the needed beads and yarn and very nice findings. She has a variety of colorways available, which makes it tough to choose. I have two more kits to make, the Cuentas collar and the Chillow cuff, and I’m really looking forward to making them! I can definitely see making many more of these items.
Have you ever made knitted or crocheted jewelry? If so, what did you make?
The hat is great and the bracelets are lovely. Always lovely to find out about a new craft and hear your enjoyment.

Your hat is just wonderful, and then there is the Laura Nelkin jewelry. So cute!! I just love beads, and those are the perfect combos of yarn and beads. I have some nice silk just looking for something to do…

So many pretty makes! I tried knitting jewelry from wire once. I had trouble keeping the stitches even. I might try again, though.

I have tried wire and did not succeed with that either. It’s pretty unforgiving, at least to me! I know – I just fell in love with these kits when I found them!

Yes, I’ve made Laura Nelkin’s Mudra cuff, and other knitted jewelry from free patterns. I have purchased beads and the fittings from Hobby Lobby. Your kit fittings are much nicer. They give a finished look to the jewelry pieces.

That hat is amazing. Tell your Mom to mail it to my house if she doesn’t like it, ha!
I like the bracelet/cuff!

LOL – thank you! She has had it on as soon as it is even slightly cool in the house, so I think it probably won’t be going anywhere π The bracelets are so pretty!
