Even though the garden feels like it is starting to wind down, it is still burying us in cucumbers and tomatoes. This is just from today. These things are as big as my forearm. Fortunately, we like tomatoes and cukes, though we have started pushing them on neighbors and on my brother and SIL.

We do also have a few pumpkins growing, a few more bell peppers starting, and a couple of strawberries appearing every once in a while. We have definitely learned a few lessons about how many plants we need of different types!
Some of the flowers are finished, but the lantanas are thriving, and also we have some flowers left from the previous owner that I think are possibly butterfly weeds?

If you are gardening, how is it going?
Your garden is amazing! I wish I could take some cukes off your hands. My garden is still a hot mess. ๐ Once the evening primrose are done, I will get in there and weed out as much of the grass as I can and get ready for next year.

I would send you some if I could – wonder if they would make it in the mail? I will have to do a lot of prep for next year too ๐

I laughed at the broccoli. Hard to make a meal with those! Cukes are sneaky. One day they are small and the next day ginormous!

LOL – right? We have mainly been snacking on them. That’s one thing we are going to do more of next year. Hopefully enough to have meals of them! Cukes are sneaky for sure!

I imagine you sneaking around dropping off cucumbers on people’s front steps ๐

Time to try pickling some cucumbers maybe? Lots of sprouting broccoli donโt flower at all the year they are planted, hopefully next year youโll get a better bounty from it.

Yes, I think so! I used to have a book called Quick Pickles, which was for pickling without doing canning and all that stuff. I am looking for it again – it will be really helpful next year!
