I have two projects going right now, my Powdermill cardigan and my Mom’s mittens.

Alissa of Snakes & Cranes and I started Powdermill on January 1st of this year as a KAL. It was going strong for a while, then I set it aside for other stuff. But now I’m going to get it finished! I do like this pattern, in spite of all the yellow 🙂 I just started the sleeve steeks, so I’m about 2/3rds of the way there on the body.

These mittens were going to be a surprise for my Mom, but I did not get them done before she moved in with us. I was thinking about just sneak-knitting them and getting them done when I could. But in the end I just showed them to her. They won’t be a surprise, but she will get them sooner :).

    1. Thank you! For the past several years my Mom is either with us or my brother and SIL. She just moved back in with us a few weeks ago, and will likely be with us for the next year or so. She always appreciates when I knit for her, and it’s a pretty pattern, so it’s fun to do 🙂

  7. Sneak knitting isn’t as easy as you’d think! You’ve made a good choice and the lack of surprise won’t take away at all from the awesomeness of these mitts.
