Yesterday, DH and I went on a little road trip to Two Rivers, WI. It’s a cute little town on the shore of Lake Michigan. We mainly went to visit the Hamilton Wood Type & Print Museum, which I highly recommend! But that is a story for another post. While we were in Two Rivers (pronounced by locals as “trivers”), we also stopped at the local yarn shop, Intertwined.

Intertwined is on the second floor of an old fashioned department store in downtown Two Rivers. It has a great selection of yarns, books, tools, and patterns. There are lots of sample garments displayed throughout the store, and it also features a section for a few other crafts, such as macrame, beading, and embroidery. They have a lot of regular yarns – brands like Berroco, Cascade and Lopi. But they also have fancier yarn from dyers like Wonderland and Dream in Color, along with yarn from some smaller dyers.

I snagged a vintage booklet on knitting ch’ullas and a lovely skein of bulky yarn from local dyer Lucky Rose Fibers of Manitowac!

Side note – the vintage booklet is from 1992. I feel so old right now!
Anyway, Intertwined is a lovely yarn shop with something for everyone. If you are in the area, definitely check it out!
Wow you are spoilt for choice for great yarn store towns you could eventually move to.
