This is the first of what will likely be several Halloween projects this year – the Cemetery Drive cowl (Ravelry link). The dark background color is Poe and his Raven from Pandia’s Jewels, and the greenish color is Ectoplasm, though I’m not sure of the dyer. It has a handwritten tag that leaves off a lot of information 🙂 If you look at the projects on Ravelry for this pattern, people have done a lot of different things with the colors for this pattern, and it pretty much always looks great.
This is a quick and easy knit, and a lot of fun to do. This cowl took about 3 weeks to knit, but that was in with a number of other projects. I did not change the pattern in any way, though I gave a lot of thought to switching the upper border to be a repeat of the bottom one instead of a mirror image of it as it is. If that’s supposed to be a chain fence, the upper border does not make a lot of sense. But it looks pretty, so I just left it as is 🙂
Now it’s off to be blocked, and I’m off to decide what to cast on next!
Yay! It looks great!

I’m making socks with some yarn you sent me. It looks much more Halloweeney in the skein, but I like it so far.
