Squirrel!

Well, the Dockside cardigan is moving along fine. The fronts are blocked without incident and the sleeves are started as well. Since I don’t really have to do any thinking about that, my mind is wandering to upcoming projects.

I also don’t have to think about the very next projects – that is going to be my Sharkbite 3D socks and the Niazuma sweater, which I am doing in very dark gray.

After that, though, is going to be Free to Fly, which I do need to think about. It is fingering weight, which I don’t really have sweater quantities of. I did look at some yarn combinations from stash that I could possibly do as a fade with the birds in a contrasting color. Or possibly I will just get a nice tonal yarn from Knit Picks and go with it. I am really stuck. Here are the skein combinations I am thinking about. Opinions? Please share ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Haha! It took me a second to figure out the connection of the post to the title! Well…all the yarn combinations are beautiful and colors are sometimes hard to do on the ocmputer, but for what it’s worth, I think I like the top middle set.

  2. I think a gradient with variegated yarns will make it a challenge to see the birds clearly, so for me it would be the top left or bottom middle with a pale grey or white birdies…but now Iโ€™m wondering if Iโ€™m bias because Iโ€™m not keen on orange….hmm Iโ€™d knit a swatch with one bird on the variegated yarn to check I think…or buy new wool.
