Birthday Weekend

Well, today was my birthday, and it was a pretty good weekend 🙂 DH and I went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants today and had a lovely time there. He got me a knitting book I have been looking at for a while now – The Vintage Shetland Project by Susan Crawford. It is a hefty tome, and has lots of great information about Shetland knitting as well as some lovely patterns. So I’m exciting to get into that!

Other than that, I got to do a lot of relaxing and knitting, which was exactly what I wanted to do. I got a lot done on my Wonder Woman socks – more on that tomorrow. And I am making good progress on my Dockside cardigan.

As usual, please excuse the terrible indoor night time photography. I have about 4 inches left on the back before I do the back neck and shoulder shaping. So that’s moving along!

So all in all, a pretty good weekend 🙂

    1. Thank you!
I don’t know if bottom up is quicker at all. Bottom up gives you the illusion that it’s quicker because you finish pieces. I think top down feel like it takes longer, but really it’s because you’re knitting the whole thing at once.

  1. Happy Belated Birthday!! You share your day with one of my friends. We each have sisters, we all grew up together, and she and I are the younger sisters. We tease the older ones about us being the most beautiful and when were in a group, Stacey and I would run to each other for photos instead of standing with our sisters. LOL! We were photo hogs for sure!!
