Starting this week with thanks for the blog buddies who started this chain of thankfulness – this is a great exercise in thinking about all the good things in my life. Some other things I’m thankful for today:
- Social media. I know there’s a lot not to like about social media. But what is good about it is that it lets me stay at least somewhat in touch with lots of people – friends and family members both – that would be completely gone from my life otherwise. Also, sometimes you can find humorous memes there ๐
- The little uptick of niceness out there with the holidays coming. Not everyone, and not all the time, but it’s there!
- Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and just hot beverages in general. They are the best things to drink while looking out the window at a cold, snowy outside ๐
- Winter is a little slower to get to us this year. I love winter – just not quite yet.
Hope your day and your week are filled up with blessings!
We are starting our โwinterโ this week. We had snow flurries, super cold temperatures and the car is now consistently frosted in the morning. Of course being New England means it will be in the 50โs today:)

Stay warm! 50’s in the afternoon helps a little – enjoy it!

What a inspiring post! It makes me feel grateful for the little things as well. I have stayed away from social media for a while but now Iโm quite thankful that I can connect with many people. Iโm using it daily xx

I think that’s one of the only times I have ever seen someone write that they are thankful for social media, yet most of us use it in one way or another. I follow a lot of runners on Twitter and they are a positive, encouraging bunch who always lift my spirits!

I’m not much of a hot beverage drinker, but hot chocolate sounds heavenly right now! We are watching our daughter’s Husky which means we have to take her out on a leash. Ours dogs stay in our yard so we don’t have to go out on cold winter nights!!! LOL

Huskies have a lot of energy, don’t they? Hot chocolate really hits the spot on a cold day – sometimes, at least ๐
